NeckGuard -- Version 1.0 -- iOS 17.0+

Frequently Asked Questions

Which AirPods are compatible?

NeckGuard requires AirPods with motion sensors: AirPods Pro (1st gen or later), AirPods (3rd gen or later), or AirPods Max. Standard AirPods 1st and 2nd gen do not have motion sensors and are not supported.

How accurate is the posture detection?

NeckGuard uses Apple's CMHeadphoneMotionManager which provides high-precision motion data from your AirPods' built-in accelerometer and gyroscope. Detection is accurate to within a few degrees of head tilt.

Does NeckGuard work in the background?

NeckGuard monitors your posture while the app is active. For best results, keep the app running during your work session. You will receive alerts even if the screen is off.

Can I adjust when I get alerts?

Yes. You can customize the tilt angle threshold (how far forward your head needs to tilt before triggering an alert) and the alert frequency (how often you are reminded) in Settings.

Does NeckGuard collect my data?

No. All motion data is processed on your device in real-time and is never sent to any server. NeckGuard has no analytics, no tracking, and no accounts. Your posture data stays on your iPhone.

What is the Pro upgrade?

NeckGuard Pro is a one-time $4.99 lifetime purchase that unlocks advanced posture analytics, extended stretch routines, and detailed history charts. No subscriptions — pay once, keep forever.
