Privacy Policy

NeckGuard -- Last updated: March 19, 2026

Overview

NeckGuard is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All head motion data from your AirPods is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to any server.

Motion Data

NeckGuard uses Apple’s CMHeadphoneMotionManager to read motion sensor data from your AirPods. This data (head tilt angle, pitch, and roll) is processed in real-time on your iPhone to detect forward head posture. Motion data is never recorded, stored permanently, or transmitted off your device.

Data Stored on Device

NeckGuard stores your posture statistics (daily scores, session history, and preferences) locally on your device. This data is used solely to display your progress within the app and is not accessible to us or any third party.

No Accounts Required

NeckGuard does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information. There is no registration process of any kind.

Third-Party Services

NeckGuard does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or external APIs. The app operates fully offline with no server communication.

In-App Purchases

NeckGuard offers a one-time Pro upgrade via Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment information.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. Our commitment to collecting zero data will not change.
