How do wine recommendations work?

Tell MyWine what you are eating, your budget, and the occasion. The app analyzes these factors to suggest wines that match. The more you log in your journal, the better the recommendations become.

How do I add a wine to my journal?

Tap the + button on the Journal tab. You can photograph the wine label with your camera, enter the wine details, add tasting notes, and rate it. All data is saved locally on your device.

What is Cellar Management?

The Cellar tab lets you track bottles you own. Add wines to your cellar, set drinking windows, and mark bottles as consumed. It helps you keep track of what you have on hand.

What does MyWine PRO include?

PRO unlocks taste analysis with detailed flavor profile visualizations, unlimited journal entries, PDF export, and removes all ads. Available as Monthly, Annual, or Lifetime purchase.

How do I restore my PRO purchase?

Go to Settings in the app and tap 'Restore Purchases.' Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Restart the app if needed.

Is my wine data backed up?

MyWine stores all data locally on your device. If you delete the app, your data will be removed. We recommend using PDF export to save important tasting notes before uninstalling.

Troubleshooting

Camera not working for label photos

Make sure camera access is enabled in iOS Settings > MyWine > Camera. Close and reopen the app if the permission was just changed.

PRO features not unlocking after purchase

Go to Settings in the app and tap 'Restore Purchases.' Ensure you have an active internet connection and are signed in with the correct Apple ID.

App running slowly

If you have a large journal with many photos, the app may take a moment to load. Try closing other apps to free up memory. Make sure you are running the latest version.

Recommendations seem off

The recommendation engine improves as you log more wines and ratings. Try logging at least 5-10 wines with ratings for more personalized suggestions.

Subscription Management

MyWine PRO subscriptions (Monthly and Annual) are auto-renewable and managed through your Apple ID. To manage or cancel:

  1. Open iPhone Settings
  2. Tap your name at the top (Apple ID)
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find MyWine and manage or cancel

Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period to avoid being charged for the next period. The Lifetime option is a one-time purchase and does not renew.

Refund Policy

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's refund policy. To request a refund:

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Find MyWine in your purchase history
  4. Select "Request a Refund"
