QR WiFi Share -- Version 1.0 -- iOS 17.0+
Frequently Asked Questions
Does QR WiFi Share need internet?
No. QR WiFi Share works fully offline. Your WiFi networks and QR codes are generated and stored only on your device.
How does my guest connect?
On iOS, open the Camera app and point it at the QR code. A notification will appear to join the network. On Android, most camera apps automatically detect WiFi QR codes and prompt to connect.
Can I auto-detect my WiFi network?
Yes. QR WiFi Share can detect your current WiFi network name automatically. This requires location permission, which is used solely for WiFi detection and never stored.
What security types are supported?
QR WiFi Share supports WPA/WPA2 (most common), WEP (legacy), and open networks (no password).
Can I save multiple WiFi networks?
Yes. Save all your networks (home, office, guest) and access them anytime from the Saved Networks screen. Swipe right to share, swipe left to delete.
The QR code won't scan. What should I do?
The screen brightness auto-maximizes when showing the QR code. Make sure the code is fully visible, the camera lens is clean, and try scanning in better lighting.
How do I share the QR code?
Tap the Share button on the QR code screen to send it via Messages, AirDrop, Email, or any other app. You can also swipe right on a saved network to share directly.
