WakeUp is designed with privacy at its core. Your alarm data, sleep records, and personal information stay on your device.
What We Collect
Nothing. WakeUp does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers.
Where Your Data Lives
All data stays on your device:
- Alarm settings — stored locally using SwiftData
- Sleep records — stored locally using SwiftData
- Wake-up statistics — computed from local data only
- Calendar events — (optional) accessed via EventKit with your permission, never transmitted
- Weather data — (optional) fetched via WeatherKit using your approximate location
Permissions
WakeUp may request the following permissions:
- Notifications — required to deliver alarm alerts
- Camera — used for QR scan and photo match missions (Pro)
- Motion — used for shake and walking missions
- Calendar — optional, for morning briefing (Pro)
- Location — optional, for weather in morning briefing (Pro)
Advertising (Free Users)
The free version displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data per Google's Privacy Policy.
WakeUp Pro subscribers see no ads and no ad-related data collection occurs.
No Accounts
WakeUp does not require account creation, login, or any personal information. Start using the app immediately after installation.
Data Deletion
To delete all WakeUp data, simply delete the app from your device.
