Overview
We do not collect any personal data. SplitSmart is designed to work entirely on your device with no server communication, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
Data Collection
SplitSmart does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no analytics services, no crash reporting tools, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party services of any kind integrated into the app.
Camera Usage
SplitSmart uses your device camera solely for the receipt scanning feature. Images are processed on-device using optical character recognition (OCR) to extract line items. Camera images are never saved to disk, never transmitted to any server, and never shared with any third party. Images are processed in memory and immediately discarded after text extraction is complete.
Data Storage
All data -- including your split history, participant names, preferences, and saved groups -- is stored locally on your device only. This data is not accessible to us or any third party. If you delete the app, all local data is permanently removed.
Third-Party Services
SplitSmart does not use any third-party services. There are no analytics platforms, advertising networks, social media SDKs, or external APIs integrated into the app.
Internet Access
SplitSmart does not require or use an internet connection. All features work fully offline.
Children's Privacy
Since we do not collect any data from any user, we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this privacy policy, updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. Our commitment to collecting zero data will not change.
