SnapSort -- Version 1.0.0 -- iOS 17.0+

Frequently Asked Questions

How does AI categorization work?

SnapSort uses Apple's Vision framework to perform on-device OCR on every screenshot. The extracted text is analyzed to classify each screenshot into one of 8 categories: Receipts, Notes, Conversations, Memes, Documents, Web, Code, and Other. All processing happens locally on your iPhone.

Is my data private?

Yes, 100%. All AI processing, text recognition, and categorization happen entirely on your device. No screenshots, text, or metadata are ever uploaded to any server. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, and no analytics.

Why does SnapSort need photo library access?

SnapSort needs access to your photo library to read and analyze your screenshots. Only screenshots are processed — other photos in your library are ignored. You can revoke access at any time in Settings.

What are the 8 categories?

Screenshots are sorted into: Receipts, Notes, Conversations, Memes, Documents, Web, Code, and Other. The AI determines the best category based on the text and visual content of each screenshot.

Does SnapSort work offline?

Yes. Since all processing uses Apple's on-device Vision framework, SnapSort works completely offline. No internet connection is needed for categorization, search, or cleanup features.
