SmokeFree -- Version 1.0 -- iOS 17.0+
Frequently Asked Questions
Does SmokeFree need internet?
No. SmokeFree works fully offline. Your quit date, progress, health milestones, and savings are all stored locally on your device.
How do I set my quit date?
During the onboarding setup when you first open the app, you will be asked to set your quit date along with your smoking details like cigarettes per day and pack price.
How is money saved calculated?
Money saved is calculated based on the number of cigarettes you used to smoke per day and the price per pack you entered during setup. The app multiplies your daily cost by the number of smoke-free days.
What are the health milestones?
SmokeFree tracks 11 science-backed health milestones based on CDC and WHO research. These range from 20 minutes after quitting (heart rate drops) to 15 years (coronary heart disease risk equals a non-smoker). Each milestone shows your body's recovery progress.
Can I change my smoking details later?
Yes. You can update your quit date, cigarettes per day, pack price, and other details at any time in the Settings screen.
How is life regained calculated?
Research published in the BMJ (British Medical Journal) estimates that each cigarette smoked shortens life by approximately 11 minutes. SmokeFree uses this figure to calculate how much life you have regained by not smoking.
