No. MyChef AI is designed for local-first pantry management with no required sign-in.
Can I add ingredients manually?
Yes. Manual pantry editing is part of the core workflow and is recommended for quantities, freshness dates, and items that scans miss.
Why do some recipes still have missing ingredients?
Recipes are ranked to balance pantry coverage, cooking time, and quality. A recipe can still rank well if it only needs one or two common additions.
Does the app work offline?
Yes for pantry storage and the included recommendation logic. Future dynamic recipe generation may require network access if added later.
