Frequently Asked Questions
How do bloom status reports work?
You can report the current bloom stage at any spot — from budding to peak bloom to fading. Your report helps other users plan their visits. Each report includes a bloom stage and an optional note or photo to share what you see.
How do I submit a new bloom spot?
If you discover a great flower viewing location that isn't on the map, you can submit it as a new spot. Provide the location, a name, and optionally a photo. Submitted spots are reviewed before appearing on the map for all users.
How does photo upload and moderation work?
Photos attached to bloom reports are uploaded to our servers and may be reviewed for appropriateness. Only bloom-related photos should be submitted. Inappropriate content will be removed and may result in restricted access.
Why does the app need my location?
Location permission (while using the app) is used to show bloom spots near you on the map and to help you navigate to them. Your location is never stored on our servers or shared with third parties. You can use the app without granting location access, but nearby spot discovery will be limited.
How do I reset my data?
You can reset your saved spots and preferences from the app's settings. Since MyBloom uses anonymous authentication, deleting and reinstalling the app will create a new anonymous profile. Previous reports will remain in the community database but will no longer be linked to your device.
