Overview

GuitarTune is designed with privacy as the foundation. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All pitch detection and instrument tuning happens entirely on your device using AVAudioEngine for real-time audio analysis. Your audio never leaves your iPhone.

On-Device Processing

GuitarTune uses AVAudioEngine for real-time audio analysis to process all pitch detection locally on your device. This means:

• Your audio is never uploaded to any servers
• No cloud processing or remote analysis of any kind
• No audio is ever recorded or stored
• No internet connection is required for tuning

Data Collection

GuitarTune does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no analytics services, no crash reporting tools, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party services of any kind integrated into the app. We have no way to access your audio, tuning sessions, or usage patterns.

Data Storage

All data -- including your preferences and settings -- is stored locally on your device only. This data is not accessible to us or any third party. If you delete the app, all local data is permanently removed. GuitarTune does not record or store any audio data.

Microphone Access

GuitarTune uses your microphone only to detect pitch in real-time. No audio is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted. This permission is requested when you first use the tuner. All microphone input is analyzed on-device only for pitch detection and is immediately discarded. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device settings.

Third-Party Services

GuitarTune does not use any third-party services. There are no analytics platforms, advertising networks, social media SDKs, or external APIs integrated into the app. All audio processing is performed locally on your device using AVAudioEngine.

Internet Access

GuitarTune does not require or use an internet connection. All features work fully offline. The app may check for updates through the App Store, but this is handled by iOS and not by the app itself.

Children's Privacy

Since we do not collect any data from any user, we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. GuitarTune is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. Our commitment to on-device processing and zero data collection will not change.
