Overview
We do not collect any personal data. DecibelGuard is designed to work entirely on your device with no server communication, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
Data Collection
DecibelGuard does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no analytics services, no crash reporting tools, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party services of any kind integrated into the app.
Microphone Usage
DecibelGuard requires microphone access to measure ambient sound levels. Microphone audio is processed entirely on-device in real time to calculate decibel readings. Audio data is never recorded as files, never transmitted to any server, and never shared with any third party. Only computed sound level values (dB readings) are stored locally for your session history.
Apple HealthKit
If you grant permission, DecibelGuard can write noise exposure data to Apple Health. This data stays within Apple Health on your device and is governed by Apple's privacy policies. We do not read, access, or transmit any HealthKit data beyond writing the noise exposure samples you have authorized.
Data Storage
All data -- including session recordings, preferences, and measurement history -- is stored locally on your device only. This data is not accessible to us or any third party. If you delete the app, all local data is permanently removed.
Third-Party Services
DecibelGuard does not use any third-party services. There are no analytics platforms, advertising networks, social media SDKs, or external APIs integrated into the app.
Internet Access
DecibelGuard does not require or use an internet connection. All features work fully offline.
Children's Privacy
Since we do not collect any data from any user, we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this privacy policy, updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. Our commitment to collecting zero data will not change.
