Our Privacy Commitment

ClipVault is designed with privacy as the top priority. We believe your clipboard history is personal and should never leave your device.

Data Collection

We collect ZERO data.

  • No analytics or tracking
  • No crash reporting
  • No user accounts or authentication
  • No cloud storage or syncing
  • No third-party SDKs or advertising networks

Data Storage

All clipboard history is stored exclusively on your device using iOS UserDefaults. This data:

  • Never leaves your iPhone
  • Is protected by iOS sandboxing
  • Is optionally protected by Face ID/Touch ID (if you enable it)
  • Is deleted when you uninstall the app (standard iOS behavior)

Permissions

ClipVault requests the following iOS permissions:

  • Clipboard Access: Required to monitor and save clipboard content
  • Face ID/Touch ID: Optional, only if you enable the security lock feature

We do not request or require any other permissions.

Sensitive Content Detection

ClipVault automatically detects patterns that may indicate sensitive content (e.g., credit card numbers, passwords). This detection happens entirely on your device using regular expressions. No data is sent anywhere.

Third-Party Services

ClipVault does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics tools.

Children's Privacy

ClipVault does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
