Common Issues & Solutions
Background removal isn't working properly
Try these solutions:
- Ensure the person is clearly visible in the photo
- Use photos with good lighting and contrast
- Avoid photos where the person blends into the background
- Make sure you're using iOS 17.0 or later
Can't save photos to library
Check your photo library permissions:
- Go to Settings → Privacy → Photos
- Find SnapBackdrop in the list
- Enable "All Photos" or "Selected Photos" access
App crashes when processing photos
Try these steps:
- Close and reopen the app
- Restart your device
- Try with a smaller photo (very large photos may cause issues)
- Update to the latest version of SnapBackdrop
- Make sure you have enough free storage space
Pro purchase not working
If your Pro purchase isn't showing:
- Go to Settings in the app and tap "Restore Purchases"
- Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID
- Check your internet connection
- Restart the app
Daily limit not resetting (Free version)
The daily limit resets at midnight in your local timezone.
If it's not resetting, try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, upgrade to Pro for unlimited usage.
How to Use SnapBackdrop
Basic Usage
- Tap "Select Photo" on the main screen
- Choose a photo from your library
- Wait 1 second for the background to be removed automatically
- Choose your preferred background style (transparent, white, colors, etc.)
- Tap "Save" to save to Photos or "Share" to share directly
Background Styles
- Transparent: Perfect for overlaying on other images
- Solid Colors: White, black, or custom colors
- Gradient: Beautiful gradient backgrounds
- Blur: Blur the original background
- Custom Image (Pro): Use your own images as backgrounds
Batch Processing (Pro Only)
- Open Batch Processing from the main menu
- Select up to 20 photos at once
- Choose a background style for all photos
- Tap "Process All" and wait for completion
- Tap "Save All" to save all processed photos

Good Lighting
Use photos with good, even lighting for best AI accuracy
Clear Contrast
Photos with clear contrast between subject and background work best
High Quality Photos
Higher quality input photos produce better results
Full Body Shots
SnapBackdrop works great with both portraits and full-body photos
